Ski resorts with good off slope activities

I want to get the hell out of Ohio this winter, and I am looking at possibly applying at ski resorts in America to work for. I probably wont visit the place before I decide to work there, so i need this advice.

Can anyone suggest a good resort to try to work for? Im kind of eyeing Killington, Vermont at the moment, maybe a few others on the East Coast.

Colorado or Montana, Skiied at Killington last year, so so on night life. Remember they want to secede from VT and be part of N.H.

Also remember if you go west you are more likely to have Snow vs the lack of Snow the east coast had last year until late Febuary.

My brother moved to Gunnison colorado for school and work in Crested Butte at a ski resort. He loved every minute of being in school out there becuase of being able to ski whenever. Him working at the resort did not get in the way of school and finding tons of time to ski himself for free !! Here is the link to Crested Butte http://www.skicb.com/ go for it and enjoy life !!

Snowshoe is absolute sickness...its in the middle of West Virginia which sucks, but its fairly ritzy and there are a ton of chics that go there. The slopes are incredible too for east coast standards....not too terribly far away from Ohio either.

Anywhere in Utah or Colorado. My ex girlfriend works at Big Sky in Montana and she rants and raves about it. I have lived and worked in Sun Valley on and off for the last 10 years. Sun Valley is cool but we tend not to get the snow that Utah, Montana, and Colorado get. I'd personally go for Tahoe.

I'll second Big Sky. Having skiied there quite a few times. My sister used to live in town. She worked for a fire team in the summers.

True dat. Specifically - stateline on southshore. Casinos/hotels/entertainment galore FTW.

Every ski resort that I have ever been to has had excellent slopes but none of them ever had any good off-slope activity. I went to Wintergreen VA and they had some nice things like a mall and a spa but I spent 90% of my time on the slopes and the other 10% back at the rental condo.

I know that the off-slope stuff is good for the people who work there and those (like the locals) who visit regularly. But overall I figure why waste my time doing things that I can do in my own area.

                              off slope activities?
                              try alcohol.

on second thought that might be fun on-slope too.
