SHIT!!!!! i know what you are feeling! if you need any burn supplies let me know i have tubs and tubs of the sauve unopened as well as bandaging supplies and zeroform i can send you. if you don't have insurance that shit will add up quick!!!!!

Thanks for offering, I know the supplies are costly when your rebandaging twice a day. Luckily I do have insurance and have been using that silvadene cream that a friend has been sending.

if they give you neuronton/gabapentin for the pain (std for burn patients along with narcotics), be aware that it's use may or will effect your memory ,because it is a neuro blocker. i found out the hard way.

I didn't take any pain meds, I too scurred to take them, just took a few motrin's. But the pain is continous as you know.

take the meds! you wont become addicted to them as long as you have the pain. it is when you take more than perscribed or after the pain has stopped that you can run into problems.

this sucks enough, don't make it any tougher on yourself.

bacitracin is the goop, it is similar to A & D ointment but with a stronger antibiotic. silvadene will help fight off infection, but will not help the wound heal like the bacitracin will

Wow, that sucks! I hope you are feeling better and not in too much pain.

In '85 my dad sustained 3rd degree burns to the upper 35% of his body. His Dickies work shirt melted and fused to his flesh. They had to scrub the raw flesh to remove the material and sanitize. His retinas were scorched.

Three days later he was Born-again (Christian) and recovered 100%.

There was a roofer dude next to him in the burn ward that fell into a vat of tar. 3rd degree burns on 100% of his body. I still cringe when I think of him...

so i was at the dog park tonight and a dog about the size of a burmise mountain dog attacked my rotti for the 2nd time in 2 nights. not thinking, i put the dog in a headlock and picked it up off of my dog......with my right arm duhhh. now it fucking hurts like i have loose staples in there. crap!
