Anyone who has a myspace site is a mindless follower. Personally I think that it is a government experiment to determine how many people will put all of their personal business on the internet without a particular goal or purpose.. well other than to have a pissing contest over who has the most friends listed on their page. And then there are the dweebs who brag about having a myspace page as if having one is a major life accomplishment. It is definately for people with a low-class mindset.

        Sweet Jackson, Jscotty.

You sound like one of the "We've neve been to the moon" conspiracy guys.

I'm all for personal discretion on the internet, but a government project? Please.

You are whacked, man. Seriously, you come up with some real crazy junk.

It's not how you handle the good times, but the faith you keep in the bad that defines you.

Yeah.. you can put me in the "we have never been to the moon" category too. I'd talk about that more but this is a BMW website.

+1 It's always amusing to hear of a relationship that fell apart over some internet drama

              @ Jscotty -

I would honestly wonder what you are like in real life, because your internet personna is ....... well, I'm at a lack for words.

IMO I don't think that there is much of a difference between what you see here and what I am like in real life. I think that the only difference lies in the fact that when I am behind this computer I can be a real bad-ass tough guy and in real life I am a total waffleswaffleswaffleswaffleswaffles.

                :)
Interestingly enough I am often asked about that on both sides of the screen. People who deal with me in real life sometimes comment about what I must be like when I get on the internet. The other day someone said, "Man, if you are this way in public, there's no telling how you act in chat rooms!"

And let's not forget music. great place for bands to network themselves, and for listeners to discover new music.

Myspace may appear to be cult-like on the surface, but what are we all here for? Why do we religiously check threads on this website? Different reasons, but to each his own.

You're an idiot. I'm such a mindless follower for getting back in touch with all my friends from high school and college, for searching out and discovering great new music, and for finding and meeting up with people who share my interests.

Personally, I think your membership on this site is a government experiment to determine how many people will want to violently murder someone they've never actually met in person with a Taco Bell spork.

Oh and one other thing...it's a great way to contact people that don't want to be contacted. I was finally able to get a hold of Scott (Bimmerfanatik) - the guy who screwed over so many people on parts sales - not by phone, but rather through his myspace. As soon as I posted comments on his page ridiculing him in front of all his myspace hotties for his scam-like behavior, he replied and finally sent me the parts I ordered. Myspace can be an effective tool is used properly...how am I supposed to remember all my acquaintances' birthdays aside from writing them down (which would be too much work)? I don't have to now, myspace reminds me a few days in advance. How am I going to stay in touch with all my friends from high school and college? Myspace makes it easy. It takes social networking and interaction to a whole new level. Don't trash it unless you have good reason to.

Now the emo kids with dyed black hair and half-naked bathroom pictures...that's a whole different subject. They truly do give myspace a bad rep. Same with internet stalkers. I'm not advocating those aspects of myspace, just merely pointing out its perks.

And that is EXACTLY where JScotty is a complete and utter hypocrite. Trashing MySpace and calling all of the things that he's stated is just as trendy if not MORE so than actually having a page. He's exactly the same as them, just on the other end of the spectrum

And elguapo is exactly right, it's all the trashy little emo kids (and the 35 year old perverts trying to fuck them) that ruins it for everyone.

Sounds like one of the many reasons why I do not have a myspace, I can stay hidden ;)

See, I'll give you another good example. I had this friend in high school named Tyson who was absolutely hysterical, always had me cracking up. Saw him a couple of times after that, but not in the last 5 years or so. So just a little while ago, I saw a part in a move that has a guy that looks just like him, and he always used to quote the line he said, and have me in stitches. So I get on MySpace, type his first and last name into the search function, and whammo, there he is, and he responded back to me in less than 10 minutes.

Word, I've found people from elementary school and other childhood friends... Pretty cool if you ask me. Plus, it's an easy way for me to contact the other guys in my dad's band.
