I thought it looked sorta like a Volvo in the front, and a Saturn in the rear haunches. But yeah, I see a reverse kink in the C pillar, but it doesn't make the car look any better!

Many manufacturers stole styling cues from the E30 back in the 80's. I think nissan came the closest to making their car nearly identical to an E30. A while back I paralell parked my black 89 325i sedan behind a black 87-88 nissan sentra and from the side, both cars were very similar.
