Well I competed my project today. My tax stamp came in on the suppressor and got to pick it up today. I have not gotten to shoot it yet but maybe this weekend if I can find time from the car. :p

Last summer I got to shoot a buddy's Leitner-Wise 6.8rem ClassIII, suppressed, 11 inch barrel. Three-shot burst gave me serious wood. Those LWRC piston uppers are the shit!!!
BADASS !!! How about a little information on that muffler you just picked up ? I have been thinking on getting one for my AR15 and was wondering what you went with and or suggested for that type of rifle. Thanks in advance OH and BADASS !!!
The stock is made by Magpul. Its tough as nails and serves multiple functions. I do not want to give out the figure on the can only cause I have a good friend in that business and gave a good-ole-boy price.
If you are in a suppressor friendly state, the process to get one is not that hard. But requires either an extensive background check and a sign off by a local CLEO, or form a corp or trust. I did the trust. The federal tax for an NFA item is $200 plus a transfer fee. They run anywhere from $50 to $100 for transfer.
But if you really are looking for one let me know. Everyone that I have sent to my friend has purchased from him. He is a huge AAC dealer and I think are the largest inventory dealer in the US. They both are in Atlanta GA.
Mine is the Yankee Hill Phantom 5.56 suppressor. Its not one of the High end names but in test rank right in with the best. This was a demo that he had and at the price I could not say no. I think they run about $600 plus fees on mine. You can see the tests at Suppressortests.com I think. Or do a search.
I have always had the privilege to be able to play with some really bad ass guns, even going to Knob Creek and seeing a Dilan Mini Gun run full open, spitting 5500 rounds per minute.
I wish I had more time to play but these things are not cheap. For who ever says you can buy one of these guns on the street is on Crack!

holy hell..... ill remember not to piss you off. what do you even use that for?
also pic request... your e30 being driven with you standing up out the sunroof wielding that thing!
I use the gun to shoot golf balls and beer cans. I enjoy shooting out to 300 yards. (not in this setup--optics) The suppressor is not like in the movies. But it makes it comfortable to shoot without hearing protection. About as loud as a 22cal. I do not spook the neighbors or animals near by due to loud gunfire. That gun in that config I would say is pushing well into the 15lb range. With a lot of weight on the nose. Not anything you would want to go running down the street with. As for the picture request. Thats about a snowball's chance in hell here in Miami. We just had a multi Police shooting here with several dead and wounded. Pulling out the "feared black rifle" would have many more pointed right back.
and I have one because I have that right being an American. As long as I abide by the rules of the land, there is no reason why I should not be able to own one. Play by the rules and enjoy the fruits of your labor.

Thanks for the info. I should have been more clear on what I was asking for, which was what brand you went with.
My state is is friendly to them, but I have to go through the extensive background check and a CLEO signature and a waiting period with everything paid upfront.
But I figured since we are probably about the loose the right to own these things for sometime I might as well get my hands on one before the election next year.

Very nice! How do you like your EOTech sight? Got one on my PLR-16, I love it for 50 or so yards, after that its not ideal.
i finally got to use an m4 at my last drill weekend... they are very nice. (might as well have been what you have there, because we don't use burst for weapon qual.)
Im sure you can go the trust or corp. route to get one. Its easier than living in a liberal city and trying to get someone to sign off on such items. I had the paperwork filled out with Willmaker plus 2006 in less than 10 minutes and had the two forms notarized. In the state of FL they view living trusts legal if notarized. No need to file with the state.
If you are looking and need help, trust me, these guys are some of the best and have walked me though all the processes of owning such items. (http://www.politesocietyinc.com) I hope the next NFA item will be a Mac10 in 9mm full auto! Crank it up to about 1100 rounds a minute. Talk about grins from ear to ear!
