Holy fucking shit batman. That is some serious skill and fabrication design work. That's exactly the kind of work I wish I could do, hope to eventually do, as a job.

But yeah, I'd imagine this would be a pretty difficult project if you aren't extremely familiar with the E60 M5 chassis electronics. And I wonder if the SMG III trans fits in an E30 tunnel? Fuck, I'm wasted right now.
You don't need E60 M5 training to know that you can special measure most modules.

    That looks sick!

Sure it wont work with the rest of the car, but it will work with the engine. And yes, you can update the DME without updating the rest of the car. Special Measures my friend....

I guess what I'm trying to say is he doesnt need to make the DME work with the rest of the car, instead he's probably making the rest of the car work on its own system ie guages and shit.

I hope he's running SMG III, cause that would be bad ass! And with the new suspension he can probably have all the DSC sensors and everything tie in to the main harness. It's not that difficult when you think about it...

My money is on an on/off Vanos or Vanos delete implementation. But, if the guy can get a continuously variable Vanos to work, more power to him.
