But yeah, I'd imagine this would be a pretty difficult project if you aren't extremely familiar with the E60 M5 chassis electronics. And I wonder if the SMG III trans fits in an E30 tunnel? Fuck, I'm wasted right now.
I doubt he'll use an SMGIII trans. If he did that he would have to tie it in with the DSC and the accel. sensors, brake sensors, everything.

I haven't looked at the post on S14 but will MoTec beable to use the Ionic current measurements? S85's dont use knock sensors, so that will be interesting aswell........

Yeah, there really isn't much E30 M3 left! Just the front suspension's strut towers!

Well, I've gotta say I'm a bit embarrassed by my idiocy in the previous posts. Gotta stay off the computer when I'm in that state.

You're right, the 6-speed is the only way to go with this project.

Tuning this motor with the Motec is definitely going to be a HUGE undertaking. Hopefully they can get the baseline tune close enough to not damage anything.

And the cost of this project is going to be absolutely insane. The engine they have is very bare, so they'll need to purchase all of the accessories, manifolds, etc separately. I went through a similar thing with a customer of mine who wanted to retrofit sport seats into his e39 530i. Ended up costing over $10k because all of the parts had to be purchased separately! Hopefully these guys are getting wholesale pricing...
