Fuck Kanye West. He's the male version of Oprah.

He thinks he's the second coming, and everyone should listen to what he has to say, because he really knows what's going on.

I feel out of place with all the fixie's, but I just got my first road bike last weekend:

OMG what a difference from riding a mountain bike 30+ miles with the LBS group... I just need to find a more comfortable saddle or stuff more socks in my junk(already wearing padded bike shorts) to make it perfect. Any recommendations?

Well, I'm pissed. Some jackass stole my bike in broad daylight today during class at ASU. I should have bought a fucking u-lock, but I didn't think someone would bust out cable cutters at 2pm in the afternoon on one of the most populated campus's in the country (it's in my dorm room whenever I'm not at class). I ran into a bike cop right after it got stolen and filed a report, but I'll never it see it again unless the thief is dumb enough to ride it around campus. So I'm out a grand now.

                Rest In Pieces

And a big fuck you asshole to whoever stole it.

Dude, that sucks i'm sorry to hear that. Usually if i am gone for long periods of time with my bike locked up (i.e. when i'm at school) i lock my bike up to something with a u-lock but connected to that u-lock is a cable that i run through both my wheels. then i'm usually paranoid about my seat, but that's easily replaceable i suppose.

yeah, it's like 3 hours away. I sold both my cars last week though. I'm gonna try and buy something tomorrow (I'm going to look at a 240z, if it doesn't pan out i've got a couple e30's that are a plane ride and ~$300 in gas away) so hopefully I can get down there for at least thursday

I was going to do that, but the cable was long enough to get the frame and front/rear wheel so I figured it'd be good. Hindsight's always 20/20. I don't know whether or not I want to bring my bmx bike down, it's so much more fucking uncomfortable (I'm 6' 1"). Maybe if I'm lucky insurance will cover it, but I don't have my hopes up. If it'd have been stolen from my dorm I'd be set with the renters insurance.

I'm sorry for your loss. It used to scare me leaving my old ass $300 haro around as a kid. I can't imagine how i'm going to be when i finally get this money pit fixie of mine on the road. I'll probably spend another $200 on some kryptonite chains and u-locks. Its going to be under tighter security than Pee Wee's cruiser.

Just talked to the owner of Buffalo Rising today (buffalorising.com, cool site about the positive things in the city here) and he said he's got a guy coming tomorrow to check out this 17,000 sq ft building to see if they can fit a velodrome in there. Plans on having lock-up spots, locker rooms and showers, plus making it a huge apartment complex as well

I love that KHS frame, not sure why they didn't just make the downtube straight though, it's not like it's really needed for wheel clearance.
