Definitely go for a 54cm. With a nice short stem I think you would feel just right on a 54. I'm almost 5'11" and I ride a 56cm. I like it a lot but I do feel somewhat stretched out on the bike. Those Merciers run a little big too so a 54cm would be perfect for you. What's your inseam?

ok.. here it is. rode it for the first time last night. still not completed (doh) but it's rideable.
needs bar tape, pedal cages and straps (or clip in pedals, not sure yet).

So I decided against that bike above. I actually ate lunch with my dad and showed it to him. He said "why would you buy that when I have2 perfectly good bikes at the house?" So we went to my parent's house and low and behold.... I brought them home. 1 for me and 1 for the wife. Originally I was looking at single speeding a retro bike, but this one is too nice to do that to, so I will keep my eyes open for a beater.
