haha! Pit bikes would have been useful at Lightning! These are a little too nice to be pit bikes.

There have probably been like 12 different Fox shocks since the Alps you have on the Cannondale!

        You lie..

asked the expert and he usually doesn't lie..
adamtwentytwo (12:38:55 AM): i would place the odds of there being a kid from far rockaway, riding that clunker of a bike, who can do a 360 to smith, at being pretty much zero

I have an old Faggin road bike that I want to convert to a fixie. It has full campy components, but they, like the bike, are old. Are these worth anything to anyone? Or would I be better off selling the whole bike and starting anew for my fixie project? Here are some pictures... Will the shifters on the downtube be a huge issue? That is one of my only concerns. P.S. The barbie stickers aren't staying. :p

I'd clean up that bike and ride it,assuming it fits you. Campy stuff, even old, is just awesome.

              Whats up with f1x3d?

You'd have to be some sort of fucking idiot or misinformed to strip that bike apart to make it an almost track bike. Seriously, that bike will be worth good money to someone on the right market. You could take the money from the sell of it after you clean it up to afford a nice name brand track bike. Seriously.... Think about it.

What he said. DO NOT bastardize that bike and turn it into a fixie.

conversion DO NOT WANT!!!!! Clean it all up, lube and detail it, remove stickers, and sell it for a song. I bet you could pick up something in the $500+ range with the proceeds, and still have some money left over when you are done.

It's too bad, because all that's left now is tarck, and yeah, fuck those guys in the ass.

That forum makes this place look like a forum for little old ladies who knit doilies. It's ok, the R3V Bicycle Thread is pretty damn good.

Damn, I'd have thrown some hosting money your way. Today is a bummed day. Like I've lost a friend who lived down the street, and I hung out with from time to time.

thats the thing, nobody was that fully committed- I mean, lets face it... the first site I'll always check on the internets is always gonna be r3v. I think the fixie fad has worn out... that being said, I still ride mine everyday.
