Just an update for everyone. f1x3d is about to undergo some serious changes:

First: f1x3d is gone, the new site is: http://fixedgears.org/board/
Second: I'll be starting the redesign and re branding of the site this weekend.

Several months ago, I pitched the idea to Kevin that maybe we should close up shop on f1x3d. -- I wanted to go out with a bang. He said "no". Given his 9$ investment at the time, and my 2700$ investment I reluctantly agreed to keep it live. Yesteday, after i got a PM from scabbzz saying f1x3d was down. I checked and noticed the domain had expired. I called up Kevin, and he basically said to me what you see above. "I saw this coming - I knew the domain was going to expire" "I guess it's harder to run forums than we thought" "We gave it a year etc." So basically the decision to close the site was made without me. I'm now 3600$ into f1x3d -- and if the small community we have wants to keep it live then let's do it - I need help doing it RIGHT. If you can help let me know!

      <3's.

Is the goal to make it a bit more accessible?

^I don't know what the goal is yet, but that sounds like a good starting place.

Sent you a PM. We're gonna do this right. I had no say so on the last venture, but I can assure you we can push the next one in the right direction.

anyone have a decent dj or freeride hardtail FRAME for a 6'1" dude?
my old ih frame (5 years old) has done its duty, and has racked up some bendage on chainstay and dents overall.

                      Yeah, pretty much.

I mainly didn't spend a ton of time there because I already waste too much time on too many other forums, there's this one in particular... I also mainly went there when I had technical questions about the bike, most of the people there that I converse with are on here, too. But I really like f1x3d, I don't want to see that group of fellas go away. And I still ride my bike, that shit ain't goin anywhere. Well... the frame might be, but I'm building a new bike this winter.

Yeah, it should be rad. I'm most likely getting a Leader 725TR with the straight carbon fork. My buddy Dave got that aluminum Dawes frame, and I really like the way the aluminum frame rides, I didn't think it was too rough, and should have even a little less sting with the carbon fork. Gonna sell the Windsor frame with the carbon Bontrager fork, bottom bracket and crankset, try to get $300 for the set, I think it's reasonable enough.

Well, I'm keeping the wheelset, considering it's worth more than my entire bike cost initially... lol. As well as the headset, bars, seatpost and saddle.

Also, Leader frames are dope. Bunch of dudes in Mash are riding them now. Im into em.. Pretty nice looking in person too. Nice welds etc.
