Major Craigslist score today! A while back, Stephen sent me this pair of Sugino PD-1000 pedals and clips.

I guess they're pretty rare, and I could hardly find anything about them online. They're also really comfy. So I put them on my bike for a couple of days, and then the part that the strap feeds through on one of the clips broke. Fucked, and there was no finding another one.

So today on Craigslist, I'm browsing the bike section, and see a listing for Sugino pedals. Click on it, and sure enough, it's another set of these pedals. I was over there within 15 minutes, and got them for $8. And these ones even have the original Sugino nylon straps with them.

^^ I love craigslist scores. I usually get all my stuff from there.
Although, I got my shipment of new front double walled sealed bearings wheel today.
              New half link chain.
And grippy from tire, slick rear tire.

              Woo.

So now out of the 2 pairs of so-so Suginos, I have one solid pair of really nice ones. I cleaned all 4 of them in mineral spirits, and cleaned the cages on a wire wheel and then hit them with chrome polish. I then pulled apart the spindle cartridges on both of the best looking pedals, cleaned out all the old deteriorated grease, re-packed the bearings, and put the 2 best looking cages back on. Now they look great, spin fast as hell, and are nice and quiet!

I also cleaned the buckles for the original Sugino straps that came with them on the wire wheel, now I just need to put the straps through the washing machine, and they should look good as new.

Hey biker guys.. I like this thread. I just started getting into biking. Its officially my excuse to stop dumping money into my cars. Its breaking me for real. At least bikes get you excercise too..

                  Thanks.
