i say... it doesn't matter what you ride. it matters how you ride it.

yeah I'm on the Gulf Coast too... :( It's a fun board shape so it's quite easy to ride in small surf, but it's a lot of fun on the East Coast.

I also mainly stick with my Zap Carbon Comp skimmer, I'm much better at that anyway. ;)

Did you just get the chain length perfect, because there is no way to adjust the chain tension with that type of frame...
What do you need help with?
The bike you quoted is a simple 52cm stripped down 1 brake singlespeed freewheel bike.
You adjust chain length like a track bike, just with a little less adjustment room and its not front to back. Its semi horizontal, like all old road bikes. Bike pictured is an 85 Trek 300 series. I bought the chain (regular 8-10 spd) KMC gold chain. Sized it appropriately by taking X amount of links off.

        Oh hai :)

The workshop at my friends house.. My Peugeuot is on the rack but we moved it into the other room so its not pictured. Craigslist fixed gears are born here:

I was reading up on it... I have the semi vertical drops too. I guess I will just have to play with the ring ratio and chain length.

Or come to my house, we'll build a bike. :)

Where are you on the gulf coast? I usually hit up sarasota/venice every year and do some skimming. FYI every ZAP I've had has broken on me.

I just said fuck it and bought a Windsor. Sick of dealing with the local Bianchi dealer.
Time to start building it up :)

There is no way that bike is rideable with that chain like it is! lol

                    Baller though...
