Even still, my guess is what it wont work. A track hub has a 2 step side. The bigger side threads the cog (righty tighty lefty loosy) and the down step holds the lock rings (reverse thread). You may be able to thread a cog on, but couldnt keep it locked on. And to fit the set of cogs (cassette) onto your Deep V, probably wouldnt have enough bite on the threads. I may be wrong though, since Im not looking at it in person.

Is your hub on your Deep v fixed/fixed, fixed/nothing, fixed/free?

          I think he claimed an IRO hub, in-which case I'm 95% positive it's fixed/free

Well shit then I guess it may work for him in his application then. If it is what I'm thinking it is.

I've seen Deep V's on road bikes, never took the time to check out the hub though. I don't really see why it wouldnt work, he just has to have enough threads, right?

You can provide any width hub and lace a Deep V to it. The Deep V's are just rims, not complete wheels.
                tasty

I'm about $500.00 into my conversion. Sometimes I think I should have bought a CL used one.

You are right, the cassette won't fit.

I dont understand what the problem is?

Keep the Cannondale as a roadie for easy riding, and roll the fixed all the other times? Or vice versa

You could always relace your Deep v with a different hub. Bells Bike shop has a flip flop freewheel/fixed hub for like 32 bucks.

And you guys jumped into the fixed wagon before riding first. What did you expect? :firehop:

                                Quit your job. :)

I rode my fixed probably 7 miles the other day. I get so sick of the brake placement on the drop bars. I can't wait until my riser bars come in.
