I love my fucking bike. I just rode to work to see how long it would take, anticipating about 20-25 minutes. I got there in 14 minutes. And that was with traffic at 10:00 am. I'll be going at 7:00 am. I'm not even that fast yet, and I was hauling balls the whole way, and that was still stopping for red lights at the busy main intersections.
BTW, what gearing are all you fixies running? Mine is a 48/16. I was thinking about going to something like a 42/16 after riding a couple of my friend's bikes, because they were so much easier. But then I realized that once I start to get more in shape and my legs get stronger, that will be WAY to easy, and mine will probably feel like theirs does now. I've been riding for at least 2 hours every day, and I was riding pretty much all day on Friday/Saturday.
One more BTW, I've lost 5 pounds since getting my bike last Monday. :up:Comment

You could very easily convert that to a fixie, you just strip all of the gear cabling and shit from it, and get a fixed rear hub. The only issue is the dropouts, they're vertical. On a fixie, horizontal dropouts are ideal. You can use the vertical ones, but it's not very common.Comment

Yeah, you'll have to get a new single sprocket for the front, to replace the multiple geared ones. You should be able to use the crankset, though.
Dropouts are the slots in the back that the hub fits into.Comment
