i only can cause mines a conversion. The maxxis' have lasted me a LONG time, but my brother just got maxxis 23's and they are shitting the bed already. His windsor only has 1 skidpatch though as my conversion has like 17 or 19 or some shit. My new bike will be running 46-14 (don't quote me on the cog.. fairly sure its 14 tho)

My 48/18 is like the perfect ratio man. I only have 2 skid patches though. If I run a 17t cog, i'll get an insane amount.
And yeah 25's are burley as fuck. You could always grind a little bit off the rear where the rear brake would go if it had one. If its that big of a deal....
Everyone here swears on Continental Gator Backs. Like 45 a piece of but you only need 1 and it lasts forever. I've seen proof of this.

Well yesterday was my first day of commuting.. 11 miles each (22 round trip)... going there was about 90 degrees, on the way home the news said it felt like 100; I need to leave earlier and leave later.
On the way there was nice because I had a proper bike lane; on the way home I noticed that there was no bike lane (where the speed limit is 55mph); so I took on the lane. That was interesting...
Just out of curiosity; do most of you go through red lights?

Yes I run red lights and stop signs, but only if I know the area and I can see that it's not busy. Other than that I usually stop for a second. Especially at 2-way stops...-Erik

I don't always run reds; but on my first commute it was pointless for me to stop since everything was clear... but I do feel bad.
