Bendix Two-Speed kickback
Its about time this thread had a picture of a Bendix 2 speed. You pedal backwards slightly to upshift (or downshift). If you pedal back farther you get coaster brake.
This bike started when I saw a Metalflake Purple banana seat on ebay. I gradually pieced it together from everywhere to have all the parts for a full legit 1966 Schwinn DeLuxe StingRay.Here is my photo gallery answering common questions about Ground Control Suspension, and e30 suspension problems in general.

I might do it just to make skids easier, there's not really that many bad hills around here. I'm just afraid that if I make it easier, it's going to be harder to keep a good cadence and keep from bouncing around when going down them. But I thought that going to more teeth on the cog will make it harder to pedal? I must have this backwards. Also, if I just go a little higher and go to a 17t, I'll have more skid patches, since it's an odd number, right?Last edited by Jand3rson; 08-28-2008, 05:20 PM.Comment

Oh boy. Just got back from a shakedown ride with my new goodies. The bike is SO much lighter and comfortable now.
