hey bike crew... i don't know anything about bikes, but i want to get my dad a speedometer/odometer thing for Christmas. is this one any good? any recommendations?

Looks pretty good. Keep in mind the only thing you reall get with more expensive ones is more features. Most people only use the mph and the odometer haha.
