I did about 15 miles or so on my uncle's SUPER long stretched cruiser bike, just rode around looking badass all day. It was awesome.

    Looks just like this one:

Okay, I'll continue to work on $5k project ones and madones instead. Because those owners surely aren't as picky as you are.

Good, I'm glad there are those who build 'em and use 'em. That's what I do with cars and bikes. I respect that.

But if you feel the need to dress and act a certain way just because you're in the "fixie" group then I don't care who you are, it's retarded. Most people like that are on to the next trend a year later as if it's "who they are".

And BTW, I don't wear spandex to fit in with roadies either. ;) The guys I ride with on the weekends, I respect and learn from but I still do my own thing.
I agree to an extent but it's not as cut and dry as you think. Whatever you are now was probably once a fad - you just stopped trying.

                      wtf is skidding.

why the general distaste for brakes?

why not just have a really small hydraulic brake just on the front or something with a tiny lever.. if the line was tucked and painted the same as the frame you wouldn't even notice it.
i will get my moms g35 and monkey stomp your ass she has a k&n air filter your sr20det on 20 lbs cant fuck with it

                        random thought:

Just goin through the bmx threads in the FS section and whatnot, just thought about the rims I had on the bike that was stolen a whiles ago. some peregrine double wall 48s on my FA. when 48s were the shit, and so were heavy bikes...those spun forever and ever.

that bike was my money pit before I knew what cars were...was 14 or 15 and spent close to 1200 hard earned, lawn mowed/car washed monies. More than some of these cheap asses spend on their e30s. and I bet its sitting in some fucker's back yard all rusted to shit by now.

Running a brake is fine. I recommend it to everyone but me.

I went clipless..... then fell over lol. it was the longest fall ever and it was in my driveway sloped down so it was even farther of a fall.
but two days later i took it to the trails, got used to it and now i like them a lot.

The changing of shoes seems to be too much of a pain in the ass.
