I picked up my first road bike today, first bike project also. Its a schwinn (It looks incredibly similar to yours lambo, prolly the same model?). I'm gonna make it a single speed

Just picked this up as a project bike for my wife. Gonna be singlespeed, white frame, possibly green, maybe blue highlights(canti pulls, skewers, etc).

1989 Specialized Rockhopper, 17". Right now in the original grey, decals removed(duh):

Haha awesome! I love having this bike to tinker on. My buddy has one that is also very similar, I think Schwinn must have used the same frames for a bunch of different bikes lol.



I made a little progress on mine today. Hit the chrome areas with Never-Dull, boy that stuff is AMAZING!

finished it today haha almost everything has red on it (cheapest parts and whatever was laying around lol) -____-
im gonna repaint it soon, I wanna do a grey or silver on the frame and polish everything else and i have to change the red tires for some black ones lol. imma wait till i kill these though

I picked up this Specialized Hardrock Disc 29er a few months ago. I have been having a blast on it so far. Decent for riding on the roads and it does very well on trails. No complaints from this entry level rider.

BTW, does anyone have any good websites to get cheap fixie/singlespeed parts? I'm looking for a crankset, wheels, flip-flop hub, and fixed gear...

youve prolly already checked but craigslist will be your best bet, I got my wheels with the flip-flop hub for 70 bucks
