El Hefe Dunkle, from Bullfrog brewery in Williamsport, PA. It's technically a wheat ale, but it looks and drinks like a stout. Tastes like coffee, cloves, bannana, and chocolate, but no flavors besides the hops and malt are used in the brewing.

Also any of the stouts served at Triumph Brewing in New Hope PA are delicious (particuarly the Oatmeal Stout).

Hmmm... Nothing beats a thick stout. Food and drink all in the same container.

meh, stouts have their place in the beer world for sure, but being a Oregonian I'm extremely partial to IPA's and living in Germany made me appreciate a fine heffewizen or a great ür wiesse.

Are you going to the Oregon Brewfest in Portland this year? I flew out from PA for it last year, and I'll be around this year too. I spent a week in Portland and instantly fell in love, I want to move out there after I finish my education.

I should bring you a growler of the El Hefe Dunkle from Bullfrog here, if you like heffewiezens you'll love this shit dude.

If you actually read my post you'll see they don't actually put any of what you just listed in the beer (except flowers which are needed for any beer).

You're probably thinking of flavoring malt beverages like smirnoff or mikes hard lemonade.

I like hefe's and stouts, most lagers too. I'm going to be looking forward to the brewfest all winter.

I spent part of summer '07 on a pub crawl from portland, to boise, back to cali, and then up to portland to finish at the brewfest. 3 weeks of pure fun.

Let me find you the beer menu at Bullfrog a bit closer to when I come out. I'll bring one out with me since I don't know PA laws on shipping alcohol very well.

It'll be nice to know some locals this time around, not that stumbling back to the hotel wasnt fun last time.
