iTunes on a PC, WTF?

Itunes constantly hangs and drags on my machine. It doesnt take over the machine but it will just sit there and take a minute or so to open a window like podcasts or something.

And you cant really blame the machine, 1.5gigs of ram and c2duo. Its not like its old technology.

Upgrade your ram? I use Itunes but my pc hasn't been upgraded in years, it does run slow first opening up.

The mac vs pc debate rolls on. Who gives a fuck. I like itunes, and it runs well both on my pc and my powerbook. And I think winamp is seriously fucking weak. But hey, that's just me.

i use iTunes all the time for my ipod, works perfectly fine. only thing i dont like is i cant get it to open automatically when i plug in my ipod.

i switched from WinAmp to Itunes b/c I was tired of winamp fucking up. Every time the song would change, it would switch skins.......anyone have any ideas?

i had similar problems with itunes when setting it up on my sisters computer, but she needs to have her ipod so she deals with it. i personally dont even have quicktime on my PC. fuck that shit.

No, it freezes my entire computer and I have to reboot.

i've gotten that before.. but i had itunes for a while with no problems. I my computer froze because of all the porn i was watching and my Ipod was also plugged in. i had to reboot my computer and it fucked my ipod up for a while (i had to leave it on till it ran out of batteries, worked fine afterwards) and itunes acted like you described in the first post. i had to set my computer back a day, and it works fine again.
