Yeah I mentioned it and someone posted it in their profile.

Its very peculiar, I would pull it down and start to crank, and they would sit there mesmerized. Then they would play with it themselves, one girl actually started to giggle as she turned it.

Best part is you can glance at the rack and they're busy playing with the crank.
    Reminiscing...

Chicks always had something to say about the check pannel. I don't know why.

          +1, happens all the time.

Other thing is the lever to lean the seat forward so they can get out. even when people outside the car and its right in front of them they still go for the one at the bottom of the seat.

cranking the sunroof always gets a few laughs too.

Nobody, ever, ever understands where the back-seat enter/escape handle is. Friends who have been riding in my e30s for years now still have to try every single handle on the door before they hit the right one. I don't understand it.

Yeah, that is one of my favorite things. Makes me feel like a pilot checking everything before take off. Lame... hell no this is God's Chariot.

My best friend always presses the check panel button just after he gets into my car and acts like a co-pilot when he does that.

My ex loved the crank. I hated the fucking sunroof crank. So i was thinking of going power. then a couple of years passed and the sunroof took a dump. Now girls look @ my roof and think wtf? Lexan ftmfw!

Of course! I think it was more common for non 'is' models to have crank sunroofs, though.

"Are you serious? It cranks!? That's too cool!"

                              "yeah..uhh...its old school like that."

Anyone know what that rubber part of the crank is attached with? One of my friends forced it to fall off and it won't stay on anymore.

No longer stock ride height, rolling as low as a daily driver in New England should without worrying about breaking an oil pan.
