I want to drive my car off a cliff.

Anyone ever feel this way? Right now I'm so tired of messing with my car. 2 weeks ago i started what i though would be a simple mod and tonight after reassembling the engine bay for the 3rd or 4th time with no improvement I'm nearly insane. The mod was to install an "is" mani and TB on my ETA, as soon as i hooked up everything the first time the shit hit the fan. Ive done lots of tests and all kinds a changes and still no improvement. as my car is my daily driver it has been a shitty 2 weeks with little socializing and walking to school and work sucks. The simplicity of the mod is what kills me, im not even 100% sure that the mod is what made the car start acting up. Tomorrow i will change back to ETA TB and Mani and if that doesn't solve it i don't know what i will do.

uhm, why would you do that in the first place? the TB isn't much of a bottleneck on an eta motor.

Lots of people on here and maybe even e30 tech have said it is a legitimate mod, the TB is way bigger and the manifold runners are two. I switched back to ETA manifold and still no help.

I know you switched back, but wouldn't the size difference in the ports of the eta head and i intake cause a flow problem?

how is that going to help when your redline is like 5500rpm and you have an eta cam with single valve springs? you can't even rev high enough to take advantage of the b25's shorter, fatter runners.

for me, unless its a ground up restoration, its dominos.

If its not the turbo, its the wheel bearings. Fixed the bearings? now its the rings. The engine seals, then tranny seals, now gas tank issues, wtf. As much as I love e30s, the initial maintenance is so important, and almost everything should be changed out for new at once if you want a long lasting fun car; that is if you drive it as hard as a Daily/Track/Canyon/Cruiser car. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy wrenching, but I enjoy driving far more than I enjoy wrenching to fix things.

And the beater sucks more...It auto and i can't figure an issue out after changing almost everything i could think of. It get stuck at 4k if i floor it but it picks back up when its a little past 4500...W/e just pull it all out and start fresh.
