Netflicks vs competitors? who and why

I don't rent that many movies so I like the idea of returning them when ever. I know many of you probably rent weekly so? Experiance with Blockbuster vs Netflicks?

I've never had either, but I would recommend blockbuster. My ex had the blockbuster thing, and if you live close enough to the place, the convenience wins in my book. My good friend has netflix now, and it seems like the day or two is just a pain in the ass.

But, I also don't know which costs more either.

Blockbuster that was nearby folded...hence why I ask. We do have the redbox things.

I've been with Netflix for like 6 years now, I love them. I particularly like the fact that I can keep movies as long as I want, or I can turn them around as fast as I can and don't have a monthly limit on how many I get.

And you can watch some movies (a limited selection, anyway) online. Blockbuster lost me several years ago when I returned a movie, only to get a letter from a collection agency a month later. No calls from the store, no letter from Blockbuster - it went straight to collections. It took me like two months to get cleared up, and I even went to the store and had them pull the movie they claimed was overdue off the shelf.

Kinda how I feel about blockbuster, I used them many moons ago during VCR days. Had issues but thought hey maybe they have changed, but most are indvidually owned franchises.

I like Netflix. The selection is as good as I could ask for and the turnaround is pretty quick.

i dont rent a lot either i have the cheapest netflix. its mostly to get harder to find movies. they are fast and dont usually screw up; once i never recieved something so after one email i had a replace sent no problems. i dont have time to watch a lot either sometimes i have the same movie sitting here for 2 months and if there is something i really want to see its no big deal to go pay blockbuster down the street 5 bucks for it; even though thats about how much an entire month of netflix cost.

This is practically my story. Been with Netflix since 12/1998.

Fuck blockbuster. We "took advantage" of the no late fee promotion they had going on. so we kept the movies like an extra 3 weeks. Well when we took em back and tried to rent more, there was like a $50 late charge. Conveniently they were franchised, and did not care to disclose that to us when we rented the movies.

We use Hollywood video now. and spend the $30 a month for unlimited rentals. Though that seems like a PITA because we always end up with like 6 movies a month.

I say go with pay per view. Nothing to pick up. Nothing to return.

I just got a Blu-Ray player and have been getting three at a time from Blockbuster. I return them at the local store, get three more.

I love always having three movies around. I can keep them as long as I want and it is always only 17.xx per month, also there is a coupon for one free per month.

They also have games which I don't do but it's there.
