Wait, Decalsking (ebay) is Widebodye30 here? Holy crap, I bought a lip and sideskirts from him years ago before I knew what was cool in the bimmer world and they were total shit. Lip was cracked and took forever to get and the sideskirts took even longer. Not to mention everything was paper thin and didn't fucking fit, as I was told by many a r3ver...
I'd ask for a photo credit or to have it pulled, that seems fair...'89 325is S50 Track Montser

hell yes you should be mad.
did you pay a photographer to take that picture? was it a friend, did you buy the photo? the car is yours. ...if you own or know who owns the copyright (the photographer) you should contact them imediately. this is a serious legal matter. intellectual property infringement is the largest legal issue stimulated by jack-asses surfing the web.
just because an image is on a public domain does not license it's use for commercial profit or intent. ...with a half decent lawyer, the copyright holder could literally sue this guy for all of the profits generated from any sale where this image was used.
the only way this guy could defend himself in court and not loose everything is if he had a WRITTEN LETTER OF CONSENT for use in a commercial setting FROM the owner of the copyright of the image.
contact ebay, contact him, contact the owner of the copyright, and have them contact their lawyer.
some people make their livings with their photography ...punks like this are why most artists are starvingLast edited by LEANE30; 11-27-2007, 04:24 PM.Comment

Rape him.
OR
Make ebay pull the photo without him ever knowing about it. That frustrating confusion that he will suffer from will be entertaining to you, or at least me...Comment

sue him. how many spoilers do you think he sold for $145 each? ...i bet ebay can prove exactly how many he sold with that picture on the auction page. ...10? ...what if he's sold 50? ...i think that is worth going to court over. ...perhaps if your picture wasn't on the auction page, falsely advertising that perhaps your personal spoiler was in fact bought from him, maybe he wouldn't have sold any at all. - technically, the copyright owner could be entitled to ALL PROFITS from the illegal use of copyrighted material in advertisements and marketingComment
