Actually i have friends that smoke and drive and they say the same thing, that they are much better drivers when they know that they could get fucked if caught. The paranoia makes them better drivers they say.

Yeah, they are talking about habitual users. I dont smoke like i used to and i feel the same way now as you AppState325 but when i used to burn and drive i felt like The Stig(not the same driving habits) listening to his cassetes all relaxed behind the wheel.

I've found that when you're high, it allows you to concentrate fully on one thing and all the other bullshit gets filtered out. Add in some slight paranoia and relaxation, and there's no reason why it's not safe to drive high.

Agreed. i drive like a nun when high. I am so relaxed, focused and attentive it's crazy.

I've never had any problems driving stoned in the past. Prefered it actually, it made me more relaxed in rush hour.

The few times I've smoked, I've always become completely incapable of doing anything.

One of my good friends, a very successful IT manager, works better after smoking in the morning. I've seen it first hand, and it blows my mind.

There are too many variables. Like how potent of bud you're smoking, how much you smoke, what your mood was like before hand, how much you smoke and the environment you're in. I myself am not a "couch lock" kind of smoker. If I'm going to smoke, I make sure I'm going to be doing something, or I don't bother. There's no fun is getting high and sitting on the couch.

As for the driving, I don't think it's a real good idea to do. Sure, you can drive fine, but the chances are that if you just smoked, then you've got weed on you. You should definetly not do it when you're high and carrying.

And FYI, you can't get arrested for being a bit stoned. Only if it's in your posession. Unless you live in Cali, then you shouldn't have a worry.
