For all those venezuelans that voted today for el NO y want to thank you for helping out for the cause of our beloved and beautiful country. President Hugo Chavez is admitting that he lost the vote to his reform and congratulating his opponents for the VERY SLIM victory, but victory nonetheless. He is also saying in his dialect that he has another 5 years and fuck us further. BUT THIS IS A START.

Also if you're from venezuela POST UP!

Wow, last i heard it looked like he was going to win it. I think he has some good ideas and he has made a huge impact on the lives of many Venezuelans. But many of these reforms, I felt, went too far. Good for Venezuela for standing up against abuse of presidential power (now if we could only do the same!)

i got a call last night my happy friend who after the announcement was on the streets along with tens of thausands of other people. all day today has been allegations of cheating, corrupt news etc etc etc....there is no end to this.

Chavez is saying that he would have liked for a bigger difference in opposition but that FOR NOW, they have lost...keep in mind he still has about 5 years worth of presidency.

I'm very fucking happy!!! MIERDA!!!! so are millions of other people, but there will be little change since it was just a referendum vote, maybe is a strategy to say that there is still a democracy there (personal speculation)...but if this is the case they were mistaken 'cause this brought hope to A LOT OF people....i wonder if we can live with this man untill his term is over /:

I lived in Anaco back in 2000, and was actually in Caracas during the elections that year, when Chavez was first re-elected. The city was so alive and chaotic. Guards with M16s on every street corner. The reaction of the crowd to his re-election was insane.
Anyway, I'm glad that progress is being made there, and that the recent election result was a more positive one.
