i want to do something nice for my ex-landlord (i bought my house from her and she lives right up the street from me)
when she stopped by my house randomly while i was in hospital, she found out what had happened and came to visit me and brought me homemade brownies (she is in her 70's)
she stopped by yesterday to see how i was doing and her husband was in the hospital for a fall and a broken hip (he is 90 = the end if you are that old and break your hip :()
she is Jewish, it is hanukkah, and her husband is in a bad way in the hospital. so i thought I'd bake her or buy, some sort of a hanukkah cake/pastry what ever to return the favor. i am not Jewish so i have no idea what is good or not. any help for a gentile?
