In regard of a previous post stating that Jews steal, I just fell off my chair when I read it, because it was written with "no harm meant". Just as if it were a natural law of our humanity. I never thought I could hear in 2007 such stereotypical comment. Last time I heard something like that was perhaps in the early 1970's when there were bad jokes about Chinks, Pollocks, Blacks, WOPS, etc. Usually not of the best taste, but certainly showing ignorance and unmotivated hate. So what's next? Let's rope a Nigga' to a truck and tow him on a dirt road?

For something other than food, the Jewish Quarter at Scottsdale and Shea looks interesting. If not there, perhaps nearby.
I'm not Jewish and have only been in Scottsdale once when I was in Phoenix for a Formula 1 race. I found that "on the google" by entering "Jewish Scottsdale AZ."
The motivation behind your gesture is lacking these days. Maybe I'm just old and don't recall correctly. Neighbors! What a concept!

it was last year in H.S, my senoir year, 1st semster was holocaust, and the second semester was vietnam war. best two classes i had ever taken. You had to have at least a 3.66 gpa, and our teacher is good friends with a survivor. Plus i am from a town of 1000people so it is laid back

actually i found a Jewish deli/bakery on hayden and indian bend. that's right by my house, and they have everything i need. the lady told me she would help me pick stuff out after i told her what i was doing. they have home made bread pudding in 8" X 8" squares for $3.50!!!!!! i am there!!

just wondering, since i am a history nerd especially WWII, did they get into the reasons for Hitler's rise to power in relation to the treaty of versies, the fact that there were actually only 2 SS divisions that were actually connected almost exclusively to the brutalities to the Jews...(Algemaine and Totenkopf ), not all of them, the ship load of Jews that were sent from Germany to England, south america, tried to go to the us and were turned away, only to be returned to Germany and go into concentration camps, the pre-existence of anti-semitic ideals in Germany before hitler's rise to power, the basis of Hitler's theory's about aryanism and why they were brought down by the Jews, or was it an overview saying Germany was bad. if it was the aforementioned, i am impressed! especially for a HS class. it is nice to know a lot about a subject from both sides of the story, which is hard to do and rare in today's PC society. i grew up knowing only the us version that all Germans were bad, period. as got older i got to meet German solders and even an Waffen SS officer (*waffen = armed, like special forces are in the us) my friends dad was an obersturmfuehrer. along with meeting regular Germans that were alive in WWII and hearing their stories (that comes from working on german cars all your life) i'm not condoning anything that happened, it is just interesting to her both sides of the coin so to speak. when we were in grade school through 7th we had some people come in and speak to us in history class every year, but for the most part they are in their late 80's now and there are few of them left, just like the germans that were involved also. my friends dad entered the HJ (hitler youth) at 14 and saw combat by 17. he is now 86.

what the hell would you need kosher sulfuric acid for???????

In order to adhere to the ultra-strict kosher process, even the chemicals / products used to make food kosher needs to be kosher-ized.

You'd be amazed at how much sulfuric acid is in everyday products/ part of the food process. I don't even have a clue - it's alot. They use it for nearly anything. One small use is in gasoline production, but with that demand lessening all it does is free up some for the food markets, but hardly drops the backlog - it's really more common than you would think.

All of this Kosher talk keeps adding up to shit load of money for the right people. I'm going to start making everything I do Kosher. Starting with my suspension upgrades this spring. Kosher Koni Adjustables all around. Can I get a Rabbi to bless this posting as well?

yea, we went into every, and she was quite knowledgable with many first hand stories. I have sadly forgot a bunch of it, since my hw and notes are at home, but in my eyes Hitler was and still is a great man, just used the greatness for the wrong reason. To think of what he accomplished with some simple, but great propgandist. More people should take a class like this imo

A big part of Hitler's rise to power was the fear of Communism taking hold in Germany and Eastern Europe after the Russian Revolution following WWI. It's a pretty old story - Fascism vs. Communism. Take your pick: the dictatorship of the dictator (Hitler) or the the dictatorship of the proletariat (communism). Neither Germany nor Russia had a strong democratic history to fall back on and Hitler basically jumped into the power vacuum post WWI. Same deal in Russia. Lenin just jumped out in front of the masses and yelled, "Follow me, comrades!". Both had been a confederations of feudal states and the aristocracy still held a lot of power through the beginning of the 20th. century. Americans are not fully appreciative of how unique this country has been from an historical perspective. We were fortunate to have been able to leap straight into democracy, bypassing 200 years of feudalism and the attendant bloodshed Europe suffered as power was wrested from the aristocracy by "We, the People". The Nazi's hated the Jews most a whole lot but they also hated every other race. It's probably the closest they came to equality.
