Computer Guys May Enjoy - Finally back up and running

    Asus M2N-E SLI
    AMD 64 x2 5400+
    Thermaltake MaxOrb CPU Heatsink/Cooler
    2gb DDR2 Ram
    GeForce 8600GT 512mb ddr3 (2nd one coming for SLI)
    550W SLI Modular Power Supply
    7.1 Surround Sound On Board
    I kept my 2 DVD Roms/Burners
    Kept 225gb HD

I know it is not the ultimate clean but I really don't care. It is fast now! It boots fast, everything happens fast. Installing WoW and Counter Strike: Source as I know how both ran before to get it a run through! Excited to be back up and running after a dead motherboard and GPU!

    Before I had a am 64 3800+ with gig of ram and x800xl card with 256mb ddr2

    It came!

    After Install

And my case after we get up and running!

Neon colors? Fugly!!! But at least you had fun putting it together - nothing like a fresh new machine.

Do work at a gaming company? Why do you need all that for a work computer?

Right now I got a shitty P4. But I am slowly (as in 6+ months) Piecing together a new computer. I already got a Core2 Duo processor, Gigabyte GA-965P-S3 Motherboard, and a e-GeForce 7900 GT-KO. I just need some RAM, PSU, heat sink, and PSU and I am good to go. Anyone have a modular PSU?

                P4 2.0ghz
                1GB RDRAM
5x 500gb IDE drives (I am procrastinating on the SATA switch, it will be expensive :( )
                Sound Blaster Value
                ATI 128MB All-In-Wonder 7500 or some # I can't check now, at a friend's house.

                WoW @ ~22fps FTL
Even Diablo 2....its like 30fps tops and it slows down to like 10fps sometimes

                :(

Oh then I just got a run of the mill BFG - GeForce 7300 GS video card. When I was putting it all together, I was hooking up the monitor then I realized I failed to buy a video card lol. Just went and got it at best buy for $70. I highly doubt hes going to do any gaming lol.

I got away from desktop computers altogether, bought myself and my wife laptops. But that's probably one seriously powerful rig.
