No personal offense intended, but why do you want to unlock such a shitty phone?

My only other option is to throw it away, so I figure I might as well unlock it so I can use it with other carriers when I travel in GSM countries.

yeah, just try some of those links or service (it seems to just a code to type in)... if you screw up and it no longer works chuck it
