    DVD Backup on MAC?

    Anyone want to help me out here?

              Sorry, I would like to backup my dvd's. I found the mac the ripper software, and am trying it now. Just wondering if there was anything else out there.

              Right now I just want to download them to an external HD, so I can play them on my computer on trips and such. Just by moving the ones I want onto my desktop. I have a power book 2.4GHz by the way with 160GB HD.

              Thanks for any help you may or may not want to give.

                  I have a hell of a time with Mac the Ripper on a lot of newer DVDs. Old ones work great. In for a better solution.

                      How do I get a file that I can play on my mac. I just got a bunch of .vob and .XXX and .XXX. What am I doing wrong?

                                      You use DVD player and go to file>open dvd media, and open the video ts folder that mac the ripper ripped to your HD

                                                      But in all seriousness...Mac the Ripper's older software is better than the new. You can also try Handbrake which works well.
