WTF is with iPhone owners? It really is not all that great. It has no 3g. I can't check my outlook email from it. Everyone has a touch screen now. I hate the stupid "so called keyboard on it". The best part about the keyboard is every owner tells how awesome it is and when you watch them use it you can see them get a bid mad in their mind as they hit the wrong keys, it is an awesome sight!

And the part that pisses me off the most? Why in the hell do you have "sent from my iphone" at the bottom of your text and emails. You look like a retard. No one cares that you overpaid for a stupid PHONE.

I don't want to sound like the standard Apple basher but iPhone users have taken the Apple bandwagon stereotype and taken it a whole new level.

i have a treo 700p, and have had phones from the treo family for years now, had a 600, then a 650, now a 700p.

my friend has an iphone and he seriously thinks hes the baddest mofo out there. i used it. it sucks.

i wish my treo would play all youtube vids, and i wish my internet was faster, but cmon. its a fucking cell phone. typing on the iphone is a bitch. using google maps, which my phone also has, is retarded. to zoom in and out you have to "pinch" the screen. cmon now. not to mention i thought my treo was overweight. the iphone is fucking huge.

I have a "safari" like item on my Samsung ip830w... It's called Picsel Browser. I can look at photos, internet whatever just like an iphone. Only I can do landscape mod. I have watched YouTube videos just to see if I can. Who randomly watches youtube videos?

I haven't been affected by much of the hype back when these phones came out. It was therefore suprising to read here that iPhones dont have 3G :o

I'm sure you can, but on the other hand, Apple may have not made this possible to increase smugness in its users. My blackberry does it too, but I can turn it off.

Have you never gotten an email from a Blackberry? It does the same. Often because the formatting of the messages is different from a normal email.

I just dislike it because it's overly trendy. I love my pocket PC running windows mobile - it gets everything done that the Iphone does and then some without the trendy/non-business factor. It also runs 3g and has a faster Wi-fi connection... I really see no upside to having an Iphone unless you are trying to be all "Ilifed" out with all of macs products (Which would be a little overdone IMHO).

It's called the default sig, which can be changed/edited at anytime.

The mail program replaces outlook to check your email dumbass. Obviously it won't have the full features of outlook, bcus its a slimmed down mail client.


I guess in the US, every dumbass has one, here in Canada, it's not as "Trendy"


It's an alright package for what it does, the phone is not great, but everything else it does makes up for it.

I got one after the prices dropped for $300 (brand new) and I don't think it's overpriced at all, even at $400. I had an LG with a full keyboard and that was WAY more convenient to type on, but you get pretty used to the iPhone keyboard. But web browsing on a regular phone? Forget it. I don't want to click down though 100 links to try and get to the bottom of the page. The iPhone has by far the most intuitive user interface I've ever seen on a piece of technology, and I don't really see how that can be argued. The only things I really wish it had are GPS (and Apple is rolling out 'faux' GPS with cellphone tower triangulation. Not nearly as accurate, but good to get the map to about to where you are when travelling), and 3G.

I understand how you feel - I saw some people get smart phones for personal use and it didn't make any sense to me. Hell, I even made fun of my coworkers when they bought them the day they came out...but I shut up after I got to play with them a bit. Goddamned if this isn't the most useful thing ever - it is well beyond convenient to have any information available to you anywhere - even Youtube.

My least favorite thing about it is the attention it gets. People seriously look at you funny and judge you when you whip it out. I leave it in my pocket as much as possible, and have even avoided using it when it might be useful because I don't want the attention, either positive or negative.

FWIW- The 'sent from my iPhone' thing is on by default. It was the first thing I turned off.
