It's an alright package for what it does, the phone is not great, but everything else it does makes up for it.

The mail program is a pile of shit and is much closer to outlook express (actually worse) than actual Outlook on an Exchange server. The iphone doesnt have shit on Outlook with exchange. For a professional, how it handles your contacts, mail and datebook is night and day compared to the iphone.

Now, for a media player the iphone has a big advantage over any WM phone or blackberry. That is what most people get out of it. The only remotely functional feature it has is the visual voicemail.

The iphone is not a smartphone. It is the best media phone though.

I have had a couple of Treos. They work well for me. And its default email signature also says "Sent from my Treo".

I have played with an iPhone. Not overly impressed with it.

To an iphone owner it would be their fault. An enterprise should convert over to itunes for contacts (or thatever the fuck they use) so a "freelance web developer" can watch a dog on a skateboard in full screen.

My least favorite thing about it is the attention it gets. People seriously look at you funny and judge you when you whip it out. I leave it in my pocket as much as possible, and have even avoided using it when it might be useful because I don't want the attention, either positive or negative.

Agreed. It's a great phone, but it is annoying when people who see me using it give me crappy looks, or even jump all over me saying "Oh! Is that the iPhone?" And what's probably more annoying is the other iPhone owners who are super snobby about having one. IT"S JUST A DAMN PHONE!

touchscreen keyboards are too small or require a stylus, what a F'n irratation.

And the part that pisses me off the most? Why in the hell do you have "sent from my iphone" at the bottom of your text and emails. You look like a retard. No one cares that you overpaid for a stupid PHONE.

I got an email just like that the other day at work. Upon reading it, I couldn't help but laugh at the "Look at ME, I have an iPhone so I must be important!" statement, but then I figured it must be some default sig. No one could be that shallow. If it were me, I'd find some way to remove that.

I just can't see myself spending that much time on an electronic device such as that, that isn't a computer or xbox. If I need something with more functionality, I'll upgrade my computer, no need to spend 9 hours on an iPhone rotating it to look at pictures. Like "omfg look at these 867 pictures I took, except I can't send any of them to you because the basic function of picture and video messaging isn't allowed".

Hmm weird. I sync outlook and phone mail perfectly. When I open an unread mail on the phone, it's also read in outlook. No problems whatsoever. Also it's cheap as a mofo :D 270 euro's ( 400usd ) for a phone, here you buy a decent nokia for at least double that. And also we don't have 3G or Edge here, only gprs or wifi some places.

Oyeah, you can delete the Sent from my iphone signature ;).

LOL at all of you guys. Your gripes about the phone are misinformed and mostly wrong. The signiture at the bottom of the emails is easy to turn off. The full keypad is amazing. I can type much faster with it than I can a normal 10 key phone, and with more accuracy. It's predictive text is right on point. It doesn't have 3g, but the Edge network is rather fast for me. And no, no other phone has a faster wifi connection. They're all the same.

Plus, your phone doesn't have a full browser. Have you guys ever used an iphone that is unlocked? The thing is amazing with third party applications. It's a full blown computer. And how much storage do you guys have on your phones? a 1gb micro SD card?
