It obviously tipped over cause it was carrying too many horsepowers.

how does a ship just tip over in port?

i suspect Mercedes saboteurs tipped it.

its the person doing the logistics OR its the port crane operator.
one side of the boat is unloaded to the point of tipping over and happens often.
as you may imagine though, it is extrememly catastrophic.

Right before I saw this thread, I felt a great disturbance in the force. As if hundreds of BMW's suddenly cried out in terror, and were suddenly silenced.

No company will do that. Someone would get the car driveable and go for a spin. If, for example, the frame fails, the car crashes and the driver gets hurt, BMW would be liable.

Just not worth the potential liability.

The manufacturer takes care of that before hand. My old school got two 2007 VW Jettas that were slightly damaged to fix/tinker with from a dealership but the deal was these cars were to NEVER to be sold to anybody else or see the public roads again under any circumstance ever.

Cargo ships are very delicate. If they are loaded to much on one side or on top they become top heavy, they end up sticking to far out of the water. In like 1950 or so in washington there was a ship with tanks and jeeps on it headed for the south china sea it loaded up then turned around in the bay and tipped over. Most everything fell or was lost. I am sure that the "captain" or "driver" most definatly lost his job.
I would seriously take every car there and open a pick-and-pull for new BMW's. I guess if they crush them they can recycle them and make more M3's?
