heh i remember my wisdom teeth incident...even cried after a few hours and 4x 500mg pills cause i was still bleeding (frikin dentist!). that is untill mr.codone met mrs.Nyquil and good night folks. mind you i dont drink, smoke or take any drugs so this HIT me. i think i remember feeling bad at one point

You just did take drugs. Granted they are socially acceptable drugs, but it was excess. Just because Dr's prescribe it, doesnt mean its any better. Im sure you werent implying that, but I wanted to state a point for others. ;)

This is also very similar to oxycodone, but it has ibuprofen in it and oxycontin actually means Oxycodone Continuous Release i believe

Shit i don't think i will even touch my hydrocodone, even though the doctor was really concerned with my pain. He didn't candy coat how bad my jaw was going to hurt and he was right. It feels like i got kicked in the face. He prescribed me 800mg of ibuprofen and the hyrdocodone, along with my mouth rinse and antibiotics. He told me i would probably need a hydro at some point today but i have been sticking to the ibuprofen because i hear that the hydro can make your ass spin circles and i really don't feel like throwing up. I'll see tomorrow if i need to move up to the strong stuff, but for now its and ice pack and ibuprofen.

Thanks man i think i am a lucky one that didn't turn out as bad as some. I just cant wait to get back to real food as gatorade and mashed potatoes suck hard.

Oxycodone = Percocet, Percodan. Usually 5mg mixed with 325 mg of Tylenol to potentiate the Oxy.
Oxycontin = Same as above, but in a higher dosage and time released and longer lasting.
Vicodin, Norco = Another opiate narcotic, just as addictive and easy to build up a tolerance, but not quite as strong or good as Oxycodone according to most people, although the 10 mg Norco can be just as good as a 5 mg Percodan/Percocet, again depending on the user.

Everyone has different preferences.

A few beers taken with any of the above = fun times, but tolerance grows quickly and getting off of them is no fun.

Basically Heroin in a pill form, as it is a synthetic opiate.

And mixing them with alcohol is bad for your liver, but only because of the Tylenol that is contained in the pill. That and you can stop breathing if you take too many and drink too much.

Snorting and smoking them doesn't do any good as the bioavailability is best when taken orally as designed.

The only one's worth snorting would be Oxycontin crushed up which supposedly bypasses the time-release mechanism and it hits you all at once, but I've never tried that.

Either way, be careful as these are nothing to play around with.

Oh yeah, don't try to be slick and change the numbers on the prescription to a higher number or tack on refills unless you want to spend time in jail.

I knew of a guy who got a script for Vicodin and added refills to the paper script and got in a lot of trouble. Felony type of trouble. Lots of money for a good lawyer saved his ass.

Nowadays, the paper scripts are next to impossible to copy/tamper/fuck with.

In the old days, you could create an Rx on a computer, make copies and if you knew how to write a prescription which is some combination of Latin, you could get yourself a lot of Vicodin if you didn't get greedy and if you played it smart.

Nowadays with computers, forget it, but 15 years ago, you could hit the small Mom and Pop pharmacy after 5:00 PM when the Dr. office was closed and they couldn't verify your prescription and walk in with a paper Rx that was created on a computer and you were good to go.

These days it's impossible and you will likely end up in jail if you try to illegally obtain any controlled narcotic substances.

I have a bad back, bulging and torn discs, so my Spine Dr. writes me a good amount of Norco per month and I usually save them for the weekend and take them when I hit the bars/clubs in SF and have a few Martini's with them and it's on.

But being a "weekend warrior" with opiates is a tough trick that very few people can pull off without getting addicted.

Like I said, play carefully with these as they are nothing to mess around with.

If you don't know what you're doing, you could end up in the hospital, jail or the morgue.
