Not really, I don't like paying for custom stuff either, that's why I bought a TIG for myself. I understand how long it takes to make quality custom parts and thought he was giving them away at those lower prices.

proturbo.fi also makes turbo manifolds remarkably similar to his

ONCE AGAIN: I'm not saying his products are bad, they are outstanding. That wasn't the point.

I was just commenting on the fact the products jumped up so much in one day, with no change in product.

Well, Im assuming his sales wont go down too much. If they do, Im sure the prices will be adjusted accordingly. If he can get more for his shit, why not? I think its great if he can do the same work, and make more money. Its being a smart business man and capitalism. No one is forcing anyone to buy anything from anyone. Take your business elsewhere if youre so upset about the price increase. Otherwise save up a little bit longer to get that manifold, and you'll be golden.

So first pinepig bitches about capitalism and jflip endorses it? Interesting.

I'm not saying that it is a great product, people have been raving about them for a long time. But it seemed like the selling price is what got the name out and some people were shocked to see them nearly double in price. I personally will consider buying a custom fabbed one locally now because i know that i can get a good quality product and support a local businessman. Should the price drop back to what it was i would probably pick one up tomorrow to avoid the next price hike lol.

It seems to me that their prices are now comparable to other custom manifolds and such in the market. I always that they were really cheap for what you were getting.

and I have no problem with quality stuff, but sometimes it just comes to a point where quality doesant nec. = price.

has nothing to do with china you idiot, it has to do with getting a bargin. I am sure his products are of the best quality, just costs more than most e30s.

why are you driving a german car in the u.s. if your so concerned about the crappy u.s. economy anyway.

That's why I was going to buy a manifold from him if I ever went with a turbo project. Great quality at a great price.

And then there's that too. Unless you've got deep(er) pockets it's hard to justify buying a turbo manifold that almost costs as much as your car did..

i don't think comparing the price of your car to an after market piece is really justifiable unless your one of those people who drives an e30 simply because they can't afford to drive anything else. hp isn't cheap by any stretch of the imagination.

That being said, as someone mentioned, its hard to justify spending 1,200$ on a turbo manifold when there is very reputable local shops who would build one for $900. I'm going to agree with the general idea in that he probably doesn't really want to take on more work right now, and if people are willing to pay 1,200-2,000$ for something then he'd be more then happy to sell it.

Another reason to not take on another welder on payroll is that there is a lot of hacker welders out there. My brother is currently taking his B level welding course, and getting his pressure ticket soon after, and there is people in his class who couldn't don't have a clue how to weld. Basically quality comes into question when you have some random who doesn't care if the company has a name for quality or not comes a long.

Not my fault your car is a pile of shit and you need to find bargains to justify spending any money on your ride.

I said earlier that I don't like spending big money for parts either, I'd rather make them, but this is a hobby for me, kind of a release from the stress.

My daily was imported in 1975, I'm pretty sure it's not affecting the US economy at this point.

Have you maybe thought that 666 started with offering his products with a very low margin profit in order to advertize it and spread the buzz around, and that perhaps after a whole year when customers see it's indeed a great product, then 666 decided it was time to raise prices in order to pay bills and rent.

If they had been in Canada, per exemple, the price hike would have been explained by the huge devaluation of the US $. Per exemple, kits that I sold for $450 usd two years ago, now are now $600 usd and I get the same amount of canadian $, well, even a bit less.

BTW You guys are just seeing the tip of the iceberg. Let's see in one year or two how things are.

I got my stock OEM parts from Blunt, It was tough getting the proper address to him on the phone as he kept babbling everytime you deep throated his cock again.

My 75 was a 500 dollar pile of shit and now I eat e36 M3s without even trying. Oh I did ALL the work myself, bolt on bitch ( or should I change that to strap on, you German folks are known for your kink.).:pimp:
