I would, but they are very hard to get into and out of when you have room, imagine trying in a cramped parking spot. That would be my only limiting factor.

Hell no. I've spent quite a bit of time in those cars, and they are best suited for the track.

            Hell no!

Have any of you actually been in on?

For a daily - where does the dog go? If you have a cat, what about its cage on the way to the vet? Won't it suck doing 4 trips to and from the supermarket to get all your stuff home?

I can't get into them, I'm too tall. I tried to get in one at Grand Prix Imports in Wilsonville, and I couldn't even get my legs under the dash and myself into the seat without being in a very uncomfortable position.

I certainly would. I would love the attention and the handling/performance of it. I have no problem with the lack of creature comforts.

I used to work with a guy who daily drove one. When it rained or snowed he drove an e36 m3.

Nope! After dailying an S2000 for a year...no chance, simply out of practicality issues.

A friend of a friend got hit a few weeks after he got his. This is the damage:

Total cost to fix it was ~$30k.

i drove one for a bit and it was bone jarring. my buddy has one as his daily and I don't know how he does it.

He loves the car though. the only bad thing he had to say about it was that the dash was cracking and peeling after less than a year after he bought it. what do you expect from a british car. hehe.

Seeing as I've been looking at a Miotter/MR Spyder as my next DD, sure, I could see an Elise if I had 40k to blow on a DD. I've got the van for hauling shit whenever the need arises, so I can get by with a two-seater.

a good friend of mine daily's an exige during spring-fall, and then switches to a gen 1 audi tt for the winter. he drives a gagillion miles a year and loves it. he's from connecticut and drove with his wife to Maine in the exige. He also has an Elan from the 90's (with the isuzu engine, it was his daily pre tt and exige) that has 160,000 miles on it. It's probably one of the highest mileage elan's in north america. i drove the exige to lime rock for a race once, and it kicked ass. im 6'2' and fit fine. i would daily an elise/exige in a second if i had the money.
