If the questions was, if someone were to give me one, but the only catch was that I had to drive it every day, then the answer would be HELL YES.

Otherwise, I'm not sure. I've never sat/ridden in one, so I don't know how they would feel. I wouldn't mind not having creature comforts though. It's more dependent on how comfortable the seating position is.

Of course I would, in a heartbeat, but there's a lot of things I'd daily, a WRC car for one

heh, I daily my miata...stiff springs, stiffer motor mounts...its a bitch sometimes but its worth it.

Those cars have VERY little storage space though...I have about 4 cubic feet of trunk space...they have under 2 I think? Its a bitch when you have to go shopping for anything. But hell, I think its worth it. If I could drop the money on one, I'd DD an elise...for what it is its fairly comfortable, albeit a jarring ride at times though.

Lol, I bet it's more comfortable than my e30 right now. So, yes.

It would probably be a stupid mix of "this sucks" and "damn this is so much fun".

              loves me a loutus

my friend had one as a daily. it was his only car. he loves bare bone cars but it was too much as a daily.

if it were my second car I would love to have one. I drove it and I LOVE it. it is very comfy, well...as long as the road is smooth. :p

it gets a lot of looks. everyone loves it.

...they don't seem to be all that reliable, except for the engine. My friend broke the shifter linkage, his roof was leaking when it rained and something came undone in his suspension while driving.

das the truth about the repair cost. someone hit his front in the parking lot. luckily the left their info on the windshield! ... the front (bonet?) cracked. repair cost? ~13k

I imagine it's even more insane to DD one than say an s2k ... perfect 2nd car otherwise would probably get OLD fast. But, I've never driven an elise before, s2k/miata plenty.

you'd be too cool for school, so that's something to consider before buying one
Not that I care, of course.

If you can live with one for a week and have something that can fit more than a loaf of bread in, maybe you can drive it every day. I don't know if I could.

Rear window is way too small to be of use to see out of, I'm sure you can get used to it, but come on!

The sensation of even driving one around suburbia you feel like any neighborhood curve can be taken at 60, since at 20 the tires grip as if to rip the asphalt apart and it wants more. (May have been the upgraded tires on the one I drove, but stock aren't bad either.) I do not condone going 60 in a neighborhood, just saying it is meant to go quick, and you guessed it, do it somewhere safe. Turning into a parking space at low speed is another thing you'll need to get used to, along with the floor mounted pedals. I think a 2000 lb E30 on stiff coilvovers, with R compounds, and a steering rack that doesn't suck balls would be the best way to describe some of the feeling, but that really, that isn't close to it. Smiles per hour are increased.

The M Coupe felt like a boat after I was done with that joyful drive. :(

For a daily - where does the dog go? If you have a cat, what about its cage on the way to the vet? Won't it suck doing 4 trips to and from the supermarket to get all your stuff home?

I dont have a dog or cat or a need to haul massive amounts of groceries, I would rock it. It's probably as or less stiff than my car is now, and I have no problem dailying it at all. Granted.... I have never driven one or even had a ride in one, but it would have to ride really really really bad for me to say no.

Since it will not tow a trailer and bobcat, then I guess its out of the question for me then.
