    TN weather

So about 24 hour's ago my small little town of gallatin was struck by a tornado. In sumner county 3 tornado's hit this place. Luckly it didn't take the same path it has taken the past 2 we've had. It took another one and for some reson these last night hurt me the most. A friend/coworker was killed and a really good friend was driving and his truck was picked up and his truck flipped and rolled enough to crush the roof to about the dash luckly he only had a few cut's and a bump on the head. We also had a major gas line to bust and 4 to 500 foot flames from the ground up could be seen 50 miles south to nashville and from where I was about 15 miles away it looked like a sun rise. I write this to find out if anybody else in this area was hit or hurt from the series of storm's that hit TN last night I know of macon county, davidson, hickman, and some other places where hit hard. Just sharing my concern and my best wishes go out to those that have lost a loved one to everything they've worked so hard for.

Well good luck TN I know I was up till 3 am out helping as much as I could.

Crazy stuff man, hope everything turns out well for you guys. Sorry to hear about your loss.

I work at a remote telecom repair center, we had a oc192 go down because of those storms. We've had techs out there since it happened, and they have been calling in and saying how bad it is. This was pretty major.

We didn't get anything that bad here in Chattanooga, but I know the worst was west of us. Luckily you didn't get hurt, and I'm sorry for your loss.

Man, I was worried something like this would happen.
Sorry to hear about this, I cant imagine how it must feel when someone gets taken by something like the weather.

Wow, thats really bad... Sorry about your loss. I was really relieved when I woke up and found that my girlfriend's little brother that lives in Nashville sent me an IM at 4 am.

I always hated worrying about tornadoes when I lived in IL... Thankfully I only saw one in the 12 years I lived there and never got hit by one.

Yeah it's a rough time right now and it's only going to get worse through the week. But thank you guy's for your support. Your word's and concern's make me feel really better. But I'll have picture's up soon of my buddy's truck and him standing next to it.

Thank you so much again for your word's of concern.

What happened again? I know when the super cell moved through, the Vanderbilt tornado sirens were blaring so fucking loud I couldnt continue watching Law and Order. So we moved to the lower section of my high rise condo building place and chilled out. The hail was the size of quarters too, but I didnt even know it hit that hard in Gallatin. Where the hell was I?

                      Sorry about your loss man.

For those who obviously arent from around here, Gallatin just got hit by a Tornado a little over a year ago and it completely ripped out half of a state funded university and like 4 neighborhoods and a few dealerships. I think they are just now getting everything finished and back up to shape. Fucked up shit...

And to think my ass is thinking of leaving SoCal for TN. Is it cold there? Like under 50 Deg F? If so I think I better stay here and payy the premium to live in the "Center of the Known Universe".

Nashville is a good place to live, thats about it IMHO. If you're into more of a metropolitan lifestyle, Memphis and Knoxville blow. Its about 45 here and sunny. It was 73 monday.

Where is the best "hermit" type place to live out there? I don't want neighbors. I am SICK of Cali.

Yeah now here's the scary part I work at the toyota dealership that was knocked out and later that day when I finally got home 2 house down from me wasn't there when I got home. It had hit my neighborhood. I guess I just keep getting lucky and I'm counting my blessing's. But from what I hear george bush is going to be in gallatin tommrow and through out sumner county. But TN isn't a bad place to live. Because when something like this happen's we all pull togather and help each other out as much as I can. I know when I was done cleaning up the day after the tornado a year ago I took my friend and 2 chainsaw's and started helping out other's down my street. And we have great back road's with great scenery and a great auto cross place and it's not really that bad but the storm's and that it's UT hell. But yeah TN it's ok I've been to worse place's before. So if you ever do decide to move out here come to the nashville area. We have alot of bmw people. We have about 6 in this small little town.

Well thank you again for your wish's and word's even though they are word's they still make a person fell an emotion.

                              later

                              Sorry about your loss man.
