Damn, that is so messed up. And when/if he gets out of jail, he'll be right back on MySpace and I have whatever is in my wallet saying that he'll turn into one of those people that Chris Hansen interviews on Dateline. His parents shouldn't have let his MS addiction get that bad, if we're being honest. Obviously though, the kid was a basket case and what he did to his father was incredibly stupid.

I'm amazed to the point that there are people addicted to the internet. I have had addictions to things, but tangable, in my hand or nose, or mouth, but things. I simply cannot grasp how someone can be addicted to a series of alphanumeric entries on notepad saved with a .html at the end. It's a document, these fucks are addicted to a text document. And you can't even touch it. It's just ones and zeros.

I agree that the issue lies with the lack of parenting, i however don't see phsyical punishment (beating spanking etc) being a solution. The problem with physical punishment is the execution of the punishment. A spanking in anger is abuse plain and simple. Many people have an issue distinguishing between punishment and abuse... it is for this reason it is frowned upon

This is semi true aswell.

It was the fear of being whacked by my old man that stopped me from doing stupid things. This is what kids these days lack.

Same goes for how kids used to get treated by cops back in the day, you know if you did something stupid they'd give you a kick up the arse for doing it, then you'd go home and get the same from your dad. But alas, that doesnt happen anymore so there's lots of stupid kids around.

And regarding the angry kid - he'd be ADHD. I'm full on ADD and i used to go crazy when i was little. You grow out of the behavior side of it pretty quickly once you hit 15+ though.
