There's nothing wrong with a paranoid network administrator! That's what he's paid to act like.

Then again, I can also see him begging me for change on the corner of Santa Monica Blvd in the next 10 years.

The problem is he doesn't apply any of that to his job. In fact it seems like he can't be bothered with doing the actual job much of the time. A few weeks ago management decided that everyone's email accounts need to be set up with automatic archiving for all email older than 60 days. Since I used to have access to the post office and other network functions (management decided techs shouldn't have those abilities a couple of years ago) I knew that this was a 10 minute job. You coud set up all the parameters including not overriding any already in place archive locations that people might have. Instead, our moonbat admin decided he didn't want to do it and convinced management to have us techs do it manually. Management took it a step further by thinking it would be a good idea to have us do it all in person, not even remotely.

In the end what should have been a 10 minute task turned into weeks of all 4 techs interrupting people's work, making repeated visits to satellite offices, and still not being able to be sure if in fact every mailbox has been set up because of the way users move around and the way we were assigned the work... :drink:

LOL, that's a crazy story. Pun intended. BTW, where are you in Hemet? You need to come by some time, there's a group of us E30 fanatics in the area.

I'm not too far from the new WalMart off of San Jacinto. I'm gonna try to make it to the bi-weekly BMW meet in Corona off the 15 this next Thursday. Do you guys head up to that one?
