You just had to take a decent point and turn it into a car analogy.

At least it was only one sentence.

I was on it for all of about 2 days, until I couldn't take the constant nausea and vomitting anymore. Not to mention, my mom tells me that while I was on it, I was like the kids in that episode of South Park while they were on Ritalin.

I know Adderall is leaps and bounds ahead of what Ritalin 20 years ago was, but I've very much against mood and personality altering drugs. I think it's great that things like this help people with legitimate issues, like I'm sure I probably do have, but something about drugs that alter who you are just seems frightening to me. It's more complex than what I can explain here, but I'm sure you get the idea of what I mean.
so u don't drink coffee or beer because "they alter who you are"? adderall is just efficient caffeine. technically everything has an effect on your brain. if u only eat cups of sugar for a week you will not feel the same.

While I'm not saying that you guys don't actually have ADD, I feel that diagnoses like "ADD, OCD" etc, get thrown around wayyy too often these days. I'm no doctor, but I'm pretty sure that most people all have difficulty "focusing". To what degree your "difficulty to focus" has to be in order to constitute an true ADD diagnosis, I don't know. But in my experience, many of the people who have told me they have ADD are very often just lazy, not disciplined, and want an excuse to under-perform/feel sorry for themselves. Again, not saying that that's you guys, I'm just stating my experience.

            my ...

Adderall definitely isn't just 'efficient caffeine'. Adderall is fucking speed, it's raw amphetamine, pretty much a mild, cleaner version of meth. I definitely agree that "everything has an effect on your brain. if u only eat cups of sugar for a week you will not feel the same."

I've heard that the psychological effects are very different in people who have actual ADD vs. people who just to take it to focus, to clean efficiently, to study. In fact, it's like opposites: people with ADD can focus and be more "normal" (just trying to make a point, not saying anything with my word choice) whilst people who don't have ADD in a way become so focused to the point where they can't focus anymore...

Depending on your genetics, amphetamines can stop your heart from beating, but you have to take it frequently, probably too frequently.

I know it's widely abused in colleges, for studying/cramming purposed. Highly effective temporarily, too. Also used for sleep prevention, weight loss, etc

I don't have ADD and I've taken lots of adderall before, I try to use it in strict moderation though, most effective to me personally that way. If i have to do some really tough, exhausting , e30 project I might not hesitate to pop one or two. Be careful, definitely addictive. Meh.

And woot woot for XR's...those extended relief capsules are the shit if you need have a productive day.
