it was a fairly lame event, I'm pretty disappointed. The irony is my friend was able to get me a ticket at the last minute since someone else dropped out. WTF was up with the Overeem / Werdum fight!? Overeem didn't do shit and Werdum was actually landing shots, lol. I wish Werdum would have just stood up the whole time so he could have at least lost in an entertaining fighting fashion.

That fight sucked.... I've been waiting months for this fight (postponed) and it turned out to be supremely disappointing... Overeem played it way too safe and Werdum was acting like a waffleswaffleswaffleswaffleswaffles. Even in BJJ tournaments I've never seen someone flop to their back as much as Werdum did... Overeem was only doing single shots, and although they were powerful as fuck, it didnt look like he was trying to finish the fight for a single second. And what was with eating Werdum's shots? It's not like he's a fucking magician who's going to catch you're arm and give you the judo throw of the century......... Really annoyed at that match. The only impressive part of it was Overeems strength/crazy take down defence. What do you guys think of the possible Overeem vs. Barnett and "catch wrestling?"

Also... I thought the noons fight was pretty good, was a shame he was blind halfway through the fight though. Had the potential to be an exciting war.

Anybody watch the fights yesterday??

The Kongo v Barry fight was simply amazing. I dont wanna ruin it for anyone, but you HAVE to find the video online and watch it.

The Mitrione vs Morecraft fight was also good. I like how athletic Mitrione is for a big guy, throwing headkicks and moving nicely for a guy carrying 250+ lbs.

I didnt see the Story vs Brennemann fight, but I heard it was boring. Apparently Brennemann just controlled the fight from the top ala Fitch :hitler:

Dana White said it won't, cuz i loves a guy that goes in there to WAR! I am not a Dan Hardy fan because he is the stereotypical arrogant Englishman, but he put on a show and had a hell of a chin and devastating power the whole fight, so I am glad he won't get the axe this fight. He better win next time though or it probably will be the axe.

Why is it after losing to the champ most people go on downward spirals of doom? BJ Penn, Sanchez, Hardy, Bader, etc The notable exceptions seem to be people like Florian who do what you expect and beat everyone except for the champ over and over again.

Henderson needs to come back to the UFC, but I'm not sure he is interested in cutting to 185 to fight Silva.
If Sonnen gets by Stann, he's the only guy I see left for Silva to fight.

I agree, Forrest is most likely done fighting top opponents :( I've always like him, and to see him get trounced like that is truly sad. I think he's going the way of Stephan Bonnar; fighting on smaller cards against bottom tier opponents.

I dont see Sonnen losing to Stann, and I'm hoping for a rematch with Silva. However, I think this time around that fight will be much, much different..

Dana White loaded the fights so that the Brazilian fighters would win. Okami, Griffin and Schaub are not top fighters in their divisions. It was a marketing dream for the UFC.
