watching UFC 85 on SopCast right now. Hughes was talking about how Alves would be a notch and not just some BS fight. Well, the notch went the other way; ended up getting owned... Thiago A. has shaped up well. Glad alot of my favorites are at American Top Team. They obvisouly know what they are doing over there!

I'll try to find a better quality video but in the meantime....

Did Rampage get robbed of his belt tonight or is it just me? Forrest pushed it the whole time but last time I checked that wasn't enough to take a belt away..

when you leave it to the judges it is always up in the air, and you do get points for controlling the pace, not to mention the leg kicks went unanswered and the exchanges were pretty inconclusive, so I understand how it happened. Damage wise I would say Rampage won but definitely Griffen was the victor on a point system.

Also a guy I know from childhood, Cole Miller got submission of the night so overall I am happy.

nah man. I thought neither of them fought up to their potential, but I still think Forrest won it.

edit: he should have spent a lot more time on the ground, though

what you said still equals Rampage retaining the belt IMO...

                            I dunno.

When Griffin was declared the winner, the entire bar I was at blew up. Every single person thought that Jackson deserved to win. Maybe I don't know enough about the judging system (I've never disagreed with it enough to look into it), but I can't see how Griffin won more than two rounds.

And I really enjoy Griffin. I want him to have it, I just don't know that he deserves it.

In a point system the man who pushes the fight, deals unanswered blows or gets a takedown/good submission attempt gets a point. Now Griffin did those most of the fight. 1st round i say went 10/9 in Rampages favor and round 2 8/10 in Forrest's favor. The next three rounds were too back and forth for me to declare a clear winner, but I still have to say Griffin won it on points. I mean really, if Quinton had been getting the better of Griffin, Griffin would be KTFO and it wouldn't have even gone to decision.

I was neutral during this fight and wanted Forrest to pull it off. He fought a great fight but still, like someone has already stated, he won 2 rounds, 3 at the most, not the belt..
