Oh and do you know how many high school kids already drink? That whole thing with making it legal to buy it = more kids will do it is bull shit. The kids that want to drink already do!!!!!

Am I the only one that believes that underage drinking (hell, teen drinking in general) will go DOWN if they bring the drinking age to 18?
Half the retards in high school drink because "it's cool". Make it legal and its suddenly boring now.Leave a comment:

I've got mixed feelings about this. When I was in high school, my best friend's dad had a policy that we were allowed to consume alcohol under his supervision and in moderate amounts. He thought that if it were given to people at a younger age, then they would learn to be more responsible with it rather than going crazy with it when they finally get legal.
On the other had, we started drinking heavily outside of his supervision and I ended up doing some stupid stuff. 5 years later, I know that I am an alcoholic and I simply can't drink alcohol. At all. Never ends well for me.Leave a comment:

lol @ blunt, maybe there should be options? say get a "drinking license" and not be allowed to receive a drivers license until a certain age requirment is met...sounds stupid but hell....cheaper than 5 mil insuranceLeave a comment:

You can drink at 18 here and drive at 15 ( by yourself at 15 and a half )
Most teenagers are alright, the only boose heads are a fucktards that would be drinking it anyway if the drinking age was higher. I think 21 is way too old, in some European countries it's 16 for beer and 18 for the harder stuff which makes sense.
I think 18 is an alright age considering you can join the army at 18 and drive at 15. As i said, most teenages are fine drinking because they arent idiots, but there are always a few which drink too much which make people want to increase the drinking age, but im pretty sure that wouldnt fix anything.Leave a comment:

Being from VT I am for it. However it needs to come with some stiff fines for DWI's. People that are 18 are going to get beer if they really want it bad enough.
I personally enjoy living in Vermont, and being able to just walk into the state house to have conversations with the house of reps. We will see what happens. Most people that are 18 and want to drink go to Canada for a few pops anyhoo.
As long as people are safe - let it happen. If people are not lock em up til the chair frees up.Leave a comment:

Not to be an ass, but a life is not worth 5,000,000.
I do agree however that licenses in the states should be harder to get in the states. It was too fucking easy.Leave a comment:

I wonder how long it will last. Not because of the dangers but because of the lost funding.Leave a comment:

Let 18 be the legal drinking age. And for someone of that age to have a drivers license they must carry $5,000,000.00 car insurance bond (SR22). That way when they F up and kill someone the victims will be taken care of.Leave a comment:

Don't want to ban drinking at all, I'm sitting here drinking a beer relaxing after a busy week at work.
I just no how poor the decision making skills of most 18 yr olds are, including myself when I was 18, I can't imagine alcohol being legal for high school kids.
I understand your argument, I really do, but I think this idea is a bad one.Leave a comment:
