Nice, good choice. You never know.....there are a lot of folks that are jumping on the "E-2's are tactical and thus better for your career" bandwagon....I knew a couple from Merids. Good luck!

Hardest aircraft to land on the boat, at least so I hear. I spent about 20 mins flying the E-2D sim at tailhook this year, and my buddy and I could barely even get it safely behind the boat, much less get it in the wires. Trim trim trim. I had been drinking heavily though, so that's my excuse :)

Damn right, hardest to land behind the boat. (you kids get ACM, Weps, etc... all we have for excitement is the boat). And our squadron wouldn't let us go to tailhook (multiengine squadron run by a bunch of P-3 and AF instructors) but I was at the one previous... most epic weekend of my young life.

As for Japan, that's one option I'm definitely looking at- I have a good friend who would kill for it though. We'll see.

You didn't miss that much.....this year wasn't nearly as good as last year, aside from seeing some friends who are up at Lemoore that I haven't seen in a while. Oceana/Norfolk didn't really have the means to get out in large numbers (cnx'd NALO's) so it was a relatively small TH.
