          reminds me of when this guy from out west said that he was going to the store to get some thongs - heh. Let's just say we call them flip flops out here.

            Americans are the only people who call it pop. Soda for everything, Coke for Coke. Why the hell would you call Sprite ( or anything else ) coke?

            Thats like calling any car a merc, including your bmw. lol.

                that map is new to me.

                I'm PNW, but I spent time as a kid with a bunch of 1st gen American Italians, dumb luck in my little neighborhood as a kid. They all called it 'soda' - so that's what I picked up, even though it seems everyone around me (imm. family too) says 'pop'. whatever.

                It's not how you handle the good times, but the faith you keep in the bad that defines you.

                  born and raised nor cal. everyone i know that is from here says soda, even myself. a lot of people at school that are from washington or oregon say pop.
