92 535 Whats wrong with this picture?

The first thing that troubles me is the ebay clear lenses and angel eyes.

Then there is the Kidney, not only does there seem to be missing inserts but also it just looks wrong.

There is a gap at the top under the hood..

Then he says the engine is newly rebuilt, but only talks about bottom end work and the picture of the motor was taken 2007-05-18 07:35:57 per Opanda Iexif which is a handy program that tells more than I want to know about picture files.

Finally those Recaros look like ebay fakes. What say you guys?

I am selling my newly built 535i because I am going to moving cross country and need to have fewer cars. I recently had a fresh motor built for the car it has all new seal and gaskets and the cylinders were honed by rpm machining also the piston rings were replaced the entire bottom end has been rebuilt. all new parts. Also I have put bilstein struts in the car along with new eibach springs. It rides very nice. I have also put in recaro sport seats in the car along with a steering wheel from a 2002 BMW 330ci. There is also a JVC cd player in the car and it sounds great. The tires are in great condition and there is a brand new optima battery. Now there are a few items that should be addressed such as it will need a new windshield soon. Usually your insurance will cover this. Also the turn signal resistor needs to be replaced. But other than that the car is working great. I really hat to see it go especially after all the work I have put into it but I have no choice. Please email me with any questions.The car only has 1500 on the new motor. Also if you didn't like the seats I have the originals I can swap back in. This is a good solid car and you won't be disappointed. This motor is a low maintenance Bmw motor and will run forever. Clean and clear title!!!!

Impossible to tell about the Recaros- they look real to me based on those tiny pics.

Not sure I'd trust the picture info- who knows- maybe the date/time on his camera was incorrectly set. Besides that, why does it matter when the engine pics were taken?

As for the engine work- why not just ask him about the top end, since he didn't mention it?? Just because he didn't mention it doesn't mean it wasn't done.

As for the hood/grille, it's got a narrow hood (which is correct for a '92), but a wide grille (correct for a 95)- but the grille looks kinda strange too- maybe it's some sort of aftermarket crap, like the fleabay lights.......

I did ask him about the top end as well as asking him the year and transmission type also not in the ad. He ignored the top end question and did not send full size interior pictures.

The car is a block away so I am going to look at it if I can get that question answered (when can I come see it)

Why do you use a program to find stuff out about pictures? If you save the picture to your computer, right click on the file , go to properties, then the summary tab and click" Advanced", it tells you pretty much anything you would want to know. Most time it will even tell what kind of camera was used.

But, back OT, go take a look at it and see what's up.

The reason I got the program was to keep track of my D50's shutter releases. It gives far more data on pictures than properties.

Yea, looks like he's missing the chrome rings around the kidneys.

And, has the grills mismatched with the hood. He's got the later e34 front girlls with the earlier hood.

i see new fan clutch, hoses, belts. radiator looks kinda new. overflow tank looks like its had issues.
